What RUSTORE®FGX is made from ? It is made from POLYURETHANE.
In the world of "Membrane saparation TECHNOLOGY, many kind of membranes have been made and developed. But only our "RUSTORE®FGX" is made from POLYURETHANE with continuously connected micro-porous inside of it while the others are made from POLYURETHANE with independent micro bubbles in side of it.
It is a wet-type POLYURETHANE film with thickness of 30 -35 micron. In side of this film there are numerous continuously connected ultra - minute and uniform porous and at around each porous, POLYURETHANE is made hydrophobic so it is characteristic of dualability & elasticity. The pore, there are 500 thousand porous per square inch and each size is 0.3 - 3 micron, is very strong to water and has two mutually contradictory functions such as "moisture permeability" and "waterproofness".
This film can secure very hi-functions to every kind of materials and constructions.
Our"RUSTORE®FGX"was awarded a golden prize of the prefectual governor prize for"ishikawa prefecture's excellent new manufactures" in April 2002. |

Each pores are connected(continuously
connected ultra-porous).
In side of it, around the pore area, they have been
made hydrophobic and have good characteristic of elasticity. |

Separation membrane made from POLYURETHANE is only "RUSTORE®".
POLYURETHANE is a general name of macromolecular compound which
has urethane-bond (-NHCOO-).
METHOD OF
MANUFACTURE |
Generally it is made from multi-additional
reaction with
disocyanate and glycol. |
CHARACTERISTIC |
It shows characteristic between poly-amid and polyester.
It is
good in anti-rubbing, anti-chemicals, unti-solvent and also
superior to anti-ageing and to stability against oxygen. |
USE |
1) Polyurethane foam (leather)
2) Polyurethane rubber
3) Adhesive agents
4) Textile
5) Paints |

" RUSTORE® FGX " is a polyurethane film with thickness of 30-35 micron (1 micron is one-thousandth millimeter). In this film, there are numerous (about 500 thousand per square inch) continuously connected ultra- minute and uniform porous (0.3-3 micron) and around each porous, polyurethane is made hydrophobic, so it is characteristic of elasticity and being dualable to salty water, it has two mutually contradictory functions such as "moisture permeability" and "waterproofness".
There is no example in the world such as ultra- microporous film lamination. And its uses are expanding to clothing use, materials use for inner wear and industrial stuff and medical stuff. Furthermore it is considerable to add further functions singly or combined together, by mixing several stuffs, functions such as to shield electromagnetic wave, heat-retraining, to prevent ultraviolet rays, to deodorize, anti-bacteria and fire/flame proofing.
Single " RUSTORE® FGX " membrane has moisture permeability of 13,000-18,000g/square meter/24hr and resistance to water pressure of over 10,000mm. Generally several synthetic textile fabric itself has moisture permeability of a range of 8,000-12,000g/square meter/24hr. This means, the numerical value of moisture permeability of " RUSTORE® FGX " will be affected by fabric to be attached and also the possibility of slight deterioration of moisture permeability must be taken into consideration due to use of adhesive agent to attach fabric & membrane.
There is no international-wide mutual test method to measure the moisture permeability and usually it is measured by each country's way and each factory's way. the test result
(as per above mentioned data) done by us, TECONE, is based on jis-l-1009 (Japanese Industrial Standard). below listed data are for reference to see our characteristic of moisture permeability.

•The numerical value of resistance
to water pressure |
For raincoat, it is said that usually 500-1,000mm of resistance
to water pressure is enough. For rainwear specially for outdoor
sporting, over 20 times of resistance is secured.
For example, when a person, weights 75kg, sits down, his buttocks
will be given pressure of about 0.2kg/square centimeter.
When he falls on his knees, his knee will be given pressure of about
1.1kg/square centimeter. If we convert those pressure to resistance
to water pressure, each is converted to 2,000mm and 11,000mm.
98(kPa) = 10,000(mmH2O) =1(kgf/square centimeter) |
|
•The numerical value of moisture permeability |
The unit which shows moisture permeability by "g/square meter/24hr" means
how much moisture can be transferd through material per 1 square
meter per 24 hours. By the way, a surface area of a wear is about
2 square meter.
